It with great pleasure and immense pride that inspite of one of our most challenging of years, The Hastings Academy is delighted to announce its best set of GCSE results, yet. Our results evidenced an increase in passes in both English and Maths, thus enabling more students, than ever, to successfully progress to their next destination. All students are worthy of our praise and their resilience, dignity, focus and mature approach to their learning, has paid dividends and we are very proud of them. Notable recognition for achievement goes to the following students who have achieved the top grades of 9's; Tom Bruges, Harriet Nobbs-Hobden, Luke Elsey, Jake Cuff, Mia De Oliveria, Alesha Cornwall, Lucy Winchester, Jasmine Martin and Arthur Butler. Congratulations to Tom for his achievement of the top grade in all his subjects and to Harriet in over 7 of her subjects.
In addition to the students who received top grades, we are extremely proud of the tenacity of our students whose workmanship, throughout their time with us, has secured outstanding progress in their learning and evidenced in their much-improved results. Congratulations for their outstanding progress goes to; Harriet Hobbs-Nobden, Harvey Reeves, Jamie Lee Symes, Alex Kelly, Lucy Winchester, Cameron Deadman and Mackenzie Dolby. These students were on average achieving 2 grades higher in their subjects.
As Principal, I would like to thank The Hastings Academy staff for their relentless focus and constant support to secure only the best for their students; to our parents and carers who have supported the academy and worked with us to the benefit of their children and to the students themselves, who listened to and responded to our teaching, were a brilliant year group and great ambassadors. On behalf of all who have worked with our Year 11 students, we wish them every good fortune, health and happiness as they embark on the next stage of their learning journey.
