This year’s GCSE results have brought pride to the University of Brighton Academies Trust, with students from our three secondary academies in East and West Sussex achieving notable successes.

The St Leonards Academy is proud to announce the successful conclusion of a transformative 6-week programme aimed at educating and preventing knife crime among young people. The initiative that ended just before the summer break, in collaboration with Carl Scott and Project Youth, has made a significant positive impact on their students and the broader community.

In a remarkable display of community spirit, the Friends of PHIA have raised over £9,000 for Pound Hill Infant Academy this year through a series of events and activities.

The Baird Primary Academy is delighted to announce a significant achievement by one of their exceptionally talented young artists, Cassia. Her remarkable piece, "Doggo Lisa," has been selected for display on the prestigious Royal Academy's Young Artists website.

Referred to as 'The Future Growth Project', The St Leonards Academy has embarked on an innovative project that is setting a model for schools across the country. An elite group of students are organising the creation of a regenerative food forest, a thriving ecosystem that mimics natural woodland but with a crucial twist: it produces organic fruits and vegetables all year round.

The Friends of Pound Hill Infant Academy organised a spectacular community event to raise funds for the school, marking a significant milestone as a first-of-its-kind event for the academy.
