Pride Through Success

Welcome to The Hastings Academy. I am delighted to be the Principal of this wonderful school, in which I have worked since 2016. During that time and in close liaison with Mr Smith, Lead Principal and our dedicated leadership team, staff, parents, carers and students, we have created an academy which has grown in stature and reputation, across the county.

We are now one of the most popular and over-subscribed schools, within the local area and we are proud to serve and work alongside our community. The culture, climate and ethos is one of hard work and an endeavour to aspire to achieve the very best for all.

I look forward to continuing the outstanding work, of the last two years, as we work towards assuring a secure future for all our students.

Pride Through Success

I am extremely proud to be the Lead Principal of The Hastings Academy. In February 2018, we were judged by Ofsted to be a ‘Good’ school with ‘Outstanding’ leadership and management; we are the only secondary school in Hastings with this judgement. Everybody from students, parents and staff are really proud of this achievement and it underlines what an exciting time it is to be part of our Academy.

We are a modern and innovative school with dedicated and determined staff, united by our values, with state of the art facilities. We have approximately 900 students and have the highest expectations of each and every child.

The Academy's motto, PRIDE Through Success, stands for Potential, Respect, Innovation, Determination and Excellence and this applies equally to all of the Academy's staff as well as to its students.

I hope you find all the information you require on our website but please do contact us if you would like to know more or to arrange to visit us. If you would like to be kept up to date with developments at The Hastings Academy, I recommend following us on Twitter at @hastingsacademy and Facebook.
